“Nikki has been grooming and sitting for our dog Mikey since he was four months old. We were exceptionally lucky to find such a wonderful person to take care of our Golden Retriever puppy both during the day and overnight.
Nikki has an amazing way with dogs (and people) and her grooming and first aid skills are a definite plus. Both my dog and children ADORE her and can’t wait until the next time she dog sits for us. I have no concerns about Mikey while he stays in her home; he is always well exercised, well cared for and clearly gets a ton of attention when he visits. As soon as we pull in Nikki’s driveway he starts going crazy and he can’t wait to leap out of the car into Nikki’s arms.
I know that Nikki cares for all of the dogs like her own and it shows. Whether it’s hiking in the woods, chasing tennis balls on the tennis court or swimming in the “doggie” pools, I know that Mikey is having the time of his life every time he’s with her.
I have no idea what we would have done if we hadn’t found Stone Dog Inn, but I know whatever it was wouldn’t have been as wonderful for Mikey and our family.”

“When we were thinking of adding a dog to our family we knew there would be times when we just couldn’t be there. We knew it would be important to find someone who would take care of him the way we would and we did when we found Nikki! Maxwell just can’t wait to get out of the car when we pull up to her daycare and he runs eagerly to begin his vacation! Nikki provides us with worry free time away from Maxwell. We know he is having the time of his life playing with other dogs, enjoying all that Nikki’s place has to offer and later in the night there is a welcoming lap for him to sit on. It’s an all in one visit as Nikki provides grooming as well. When we arrive back we pick up a happy, tired clean dog.”

“Max absolutely loves spending time at Stone Dog Inn. Nikki is wonderful and always makes him feel like he's at home. I never worry when I'm away because she takes as good a care of him as I do. His tail starts wagging as soon as we get close. It's almost as if he can sense it's his time to have a wonderful vacation too. “I used to take my Irish Setter, Max, to a groomer who specialized in the breed. It was tremendously expensive and Max hated going. Luckily I found Nikki and she’s been grooming him for three years, and I will not take him to anyone else. In the beginning Max hated being groomed because of the bad experiences with other groomers and he often gave the “ugly face.” However Nikki has gotten him to the point where he actually likes being groomed and he cannot wait to jump out of the car and see her.
About a year ago, Max was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma in his front leg, which needed to be amputated. I was very concerned at how he was going to adapt, never mind how he would be when grooming. Nikki goes very slow with him and she is kind hearted and cares about her clients. Max adores her and has not had a problem since his amputation. He continues to love seeing is “Aunty Nikki” and he comes home beautiful every time.

"I used to feel guilty leaving my dog Bailey behind when I went on vacation. I have never left her in a kennel because I have had bad experiences in the past where my dog would not receive enough care and attention. Since bringing Bailey to the Stone Dog Inn, I do not worry at all. When I first left Bailey Nikki encouraged me to check in to see how Bailey was doing. I called once and was satisfied that everything was going well. I have not felt the need to check in since. It is however nice to know I have that option.
From the moment we arrive at Stone Dog Bailey instantly knows and cannot wait to get out of the car; she instantly runs into Nikki’s arms! It is comforting for me to know how genuinely happy she is to be there. Bailey is able to run free in a fenced in area with other guests at the Inn and takes many long walks with the girls and other dogs. She gets lots of exercise and attention!
When she visits Stone Dog, Bailey feels right at home. My family and I have known Nikki for the past two years. We originally took Bailey to see Nikki at Doggie Day Care and Grooming. When we heard that Nikki would take Bailey while we were on vacation we were excited and when she told us she was opening the Stone Dog Inn we were thrilled! Now Bailey sees Nikki for cage free boarding and grooming! The girls who work there are always up to date on current dog issues and I have consulted Nikki on many occasions for advice on training, medication and over all well being for Bailey. I highly recommend the Stone Dog Inn. You will enjoy your vacation that much more because you know your dog will be in trust-worthy, experienced hands!"

"In September 2009 we added a wonderful puppy to our family. The stressful thing was having to leave him for a week due to a previous scheduled vacation. Enzo took to Nikki immediately. We never had any moments of worry the whole time were were away. How could you worry when your puppy is in doggie wonderland (11 wooded acres of land to play on and a loving home!!) When it was time to pick Enzo up her was so excited to see us and then, ran over to Nikki as to say “look who’s here, Friend, my family!” Thanks, Nikki.
