Have you ever walked down the street and watched a dog walking calmly and politely next to its owner and thought, “I wish my dog would do that!”? Well, let's talk about the importance of training your puppy to walk on a leash.

Although any aged dog can learn new tricks, puppies are especially moldable to new behaviors. They are a clean slate and that makes it easy to teach them how to do things properly. Teaching your puppy to walk on a leash is one thing you can do right away that will create a strong foundation of trust and communication between you and your fur baby! Doing daily walks with your puppy will give them the tools they need to develop good manners in the future.

Here at Stone Dog Inn & Spaw, we are now offering puppy manner walks. These one-on-one’s are 20 minutes and take your puppy through our beautiful nature trails directly behind our play yards! We also offer nature walks for any of our boarders and campers to add a little extra enrichment to their days here at SDI.
