Our Response to the Coronavirus Concern

We have seen and understand the growing concern surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and our hearts go out to all those who've been impacted. As pet parents, we understand you may have specific questions about how to keep your pets and families safe, and we are here to support you every step of the way. First, let us preface with, to date, there is no evidence that companion animals or pets can spread COVID-19. We love pets and we're passionate about the care we provide to them while they are here at Stone Dog. This means that every day, as part of our regular operations, our facility and yards are cleaned and sanitized. Our staff is diligent about washing their hands and we keep a healthy stock of hand sanitizer on our shelves. As well, anyone on staff who is not feeling well understands that we support them staying home. In October 2019, we installed a UV light and air filtration system, PetAirapy, in our building. PetAirapy’s UVGI infection control technology can help mitigate and prevent the spread of the coronavirus as well as other bacteria and viruses that can be spread through the air. PetAirapy has shared their information for animal care providers regarding COVID-19 that we are happy to share with you.  We understand that cancelled travel plans may mean cancelled overnight stays here for your pets. If this is the case please let us know ASAP. We do hope you continue to send your furbabies to camp for some fun and exercise! It’s a great way to tire them out, especially when you work from home, and keep them happy and socialized. Don’t forget you can add on a groom, bath or nail trim as well!   This situation continues to evolve quickly, and we will be monitoring it closely. Based on current guidance and our own standards and practices, we remain open for business and are committed to providing an outstanding experience for you and your pets.
